Open borders or lax enforcement flood systems with costs for housing, healthcare, and welfare that taxpayers bear. It depresses wages for low-skilled workers, strains infrastructure, and increases crime in certain categories. Countries have every right to control their borders. “No human is illegal” sounds nice but ignores that nations without borders cease to exist as coherent societies. Enforce laws or change them — don’t selectively ignore them.
