The war on drugs was never really about health — it was about crushing counterculture, free thought, and spiritual exploration that threatens the 9-5 grind and endless consumption cycle. Psychedelics dissolve ego and societal programming; cannabis promotes relaxation over hustle; MDMA fosters empathy that could undermine competitive capitalism. Governments and corporations prefer a population numbed by alcohol and antidepressants instead of awakened minds questioning the system. Legalize them all and watch consciousness shift.
Most climate change activism is performative hysteria that ignores nuclear power and human adaptation.
We’re told the world ends in 12 years every decade, yet predictions keep failing while CO2 emissions rise. The real solutions — nuclear, advanced geothermal, adaptation tech — get shouted down by activists who prefer virtue-signaling and banning straws. Fossil fuels lifted billions out of poverty. Panic-driven net-zero timelines hurt the poor most. Prioritize innovation over fear.
Illegal immigration is not a humanitarian issue — it’s a sovereignty and rule-of-law crisis that harms citizens.
Open borders or lax enforcement flood systems with costs for housing, healthcare, and welfare that taxpayers bear. It depresses wages for low-skilled workers, strains infrastructure, and increases crime in certain categories. Countries have every right to control their borders. “No human is illegal” sounds nice but ignores that nations without borders cease to exist as coherent societies. Enforce laws or change them — don’t selectively ignore them.
Most modern feminism has become anti-male and anti-family rather than pro-equality
Early waves fought for voting and legal rights. Today it often frames men as inherent oppressors, pushes “believe all women” over due process, and devalues motherhood and traditional families. Birth rates are crashing partly because career-over-family messaging dominates. True equality acknowledges biological and statistical differences between sexes instead of pretending they don’t exist or are socially constructed.
Parenting has become too soft and overprotective, producing fragile, entitled adults.
Helicopter parenting, safe spaces, no losing in sports, and shielding kids from every risk or discomfort have created a generation scared of failure, criticism, and independence. Real resilience comes from skinned knees, hard lessons, and unsupervised play. Overprotection is neglect of character development. We need to let kids struggle, fail, and take calculated risks again.
hookup culture and casual sex have been a net disaster for young people’s mental health and pair bonding.
Apps turned sex into a commodity with endless options, leading to higher depression, anxiety, loneliness, and inability to form deep attachments. Studies show rising regret, especially among women, and declining marriage/fertility rates. The “sexual revolution” promised freedom but delivered emptiness. Traditional courtship norms with accountability produced better outcomes. We need to admit the experiment failed.
Parents who let their kids have unrestricted smartphone access before age 16 are setting them up for failure.
Constant screen time destroys focus, sleep, social skills, and real-world resilience. Kids with phones from elementary school grow up comparing themselves to filtered lives and getting addicted to likes. Parents who hand over devices without limits are choosing convenience over their child’s development. Strict rules until high school should be the norm, not the exception. Change my view if you can.
College should not be free for everyone — it should be free only for students who maintain high academic standards.
Making college completely free removes any skin in the game and will flood campuses with unmotivated students who waste resources and lower standards. Free tuition should be earned through strong high school performance and maintained with a minimum GPA. This rewards effort, ensures taxpayers get value, and actually helps serious students succeed. Handing out free degrees to anyone who shows up devalues education. Change my view.
Dating apps have destroyed dating and made everyone worse at relationships
Infinite options created entitlement and commitment phobia. People swipe for validation instead of connection, ghost constantly, and treat humans like menu items. We went from meeting people organically to judging someone in 3 seconds based on six photos. Dating was flawed before, but apps made it toxic.
Most modern music is trash and the 90s/early 2000s were peak
Auto-tune, mumble rap, and TikTok sounds have ruined music. Real talent, songwriting, and actual singing are dead. Give me Nirvana, Eminem, Britney, or early Kanye over whatever repetitive garbage is on the charts now. Streaming killed album culture and attention spans. Music was simply better before.
College is mostly a waste of time and money for the majority of people
Unless you’re going into medicine, engineering, law, or something that actually requires the degree, you’re better off learning a trade, starting a business, or getting certifications. Most grads end up in unrelated jobs with massive debt. The “college experience” is just four years of partying and indoctrination. Trade schools and apprenticeships are sleeping on.
Quiet quitting is just lazy people justifying doing the bare minimum
If you’re only doing the absolute minimum at work and calling it “boundaries,” you’re not revolutionary — you’re a bad employee. Companies pay you to contribute, not coast. The real flex is working hard, getting promoted, and building skills. This whole movement is killing productivity and making workplaces miserable for everyone who actually cares.
Most “mental health awareness” talk is just performative bullshit that makes things worse
Posting black squares and “it’s okay not to be okay” doesn’t help anyone. It’s turned real struggles into trendy accessories. Half the people claiming anxiety or depression online just don’t want to take personal responsibility. Therapy is expensive and overrated for most mild cases — sometimes you just need discipline, sunlight, and to touch grass. Downvote away.
Being “body positive” has gone too far and is actively making people unhealthier
Everyone screams “love your body” but conveniently ignores that obesity rates are skyrocketing and people are dying younger from preventable diseases. Telling someone they’re perfect at 300+ lbs isn’t empowering — it’s enabling. We should encourage health and fitness without shaming, but the current movement pretends consequences don’t exist. Change my mind.

The Key to my Lime Pie

Double strain into a coupe glass
Deconstructed Gin & Tonic
Same G&T, new outfit. Froze a stack of thin “ice coins” and lime wheels—puck → lime → puck—so the lime is the flavor and garnish. In a chilled highball:
2 oz gin (Hendrick’s), top with 4–6 oz super-cold tonic (Le Tribute).
Fun experiment, but honestly way too much hassle—I’d rather just have a simple G&T with a Collins spear or a few 1-inch clear cubes next time…
Flying Colors
It’s a similar build to an aviation for my cocktail bar called Wild Child out here in Shawnee, Kansas.
2 oz Opihr Gin .5 oz Giffard Strawberry .25 oz Tempus Fugit Violette .75 oz Lemon Juice .25 Simple .25 Aquafaba
Garnish is sugar paper printed with edible ink. Glassware is the 6.4 oz Flavor Blaster brand which is just a bigger version of the Savage Pony glasses by Nude.
Cheers.
